Terra Quantum Supports the 2024 International Quantum Strategy Day Competition

  • Terra Quantum partners with the Quantum Strategy Institute (QSI) to support the 2024 International Quantum Strategy Day (IQSD) competition

  • The winning team will receive exclusive access to Terra Quantum's cutting-edge quantum computing platform, TQ42

  • IQSD aims to promote quantum strategy by bringing together cross-disciplinary teams to develop practical quantum applications

The Quantum Strategy Institute (QSI) announced the 2024 International Quantum Strategy Day (IQSD) competition, a unique opportunity for quantum enthusiasts to showcase their strategic skills and develop practical quantum applications, taking place on Friday, April 19th. This year, QSI is partnering with Terra Quantum, a leading quantum software company, to offer the winning team exclusive access to TQ42, Terra Quantum's cutting-edge quantum computing platform.

IQSD aims to promote quantum strategy by bringing together cross-disciplinary teams (of two to five members) in a "stratethon" to create recommendations for how organizations can integrate quantum technologies into their businesses. QSI will provide a quantum case study and strategy assessment to get teams started. The competition is open to students, academics, professionals and enthusiasts of all backgrounds and skill levels.

"Strategy and strategic planning can leverage a similar approach to hackathons. By bringing together people from multiple disciplines, strategic plans can be made more robust. Through a stratethon, quantum strategists can practice this process in a risk-free environment," said Brian Lenahan, Chair of QSI.

By supporting IQSD, Terra Quantum aims to foster the development of robust quantum roadmaps that align with the practical demands of businesses.

"We are thrilled to support QSI's efforts in promoting quantum strategy through the IQSD competition," said Markus Pflitsch, CEO of Terra Quantum. " Our support of IQSD reflects our commitment to democratizing access to quantum resources and empowering users of all skill levels to unlock the practical value of quantum computing."

The winning team will receive exclusive access to TQ42, Terra Quantum's quantum computing platform. TQ42 serves as a powerful tool for quantum enthusiasts, providing access to proprietary algorithms, applications, and integrated compute resources.

"TQ42's user-friendly interface and tools make it accessible to users with varying levels of quantum expertise," said Florian Neukart, Chief Product Officer at Terra Quantum. " We're excited to see how the IQSD competitors will leverage its capabilities to develop innovative quantum strategies and solutions."

TQ42 is a groundbreaking Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS) platform that enables businesses to build, tune, run and apply machine learning, optimization and simulation solutions for their toughest problems. It provides access to both high-performance classical and quantum compute resources, integrating with CPUs, GPUs, QPU simulators and QPUs through a hybrid quantum cloud. Built on a modern, scalable tech stack, TQ42 meets essential security requirements for access, data encryption, transfer and ownership. It is accessible as an intuitive web interface and Python SDK with developer documentation and CLI tools to empower users of varying quantum competence. TQ42's mission is to make quantum utility an everyday reality for businesses.

“IQSD is a global competition that attracts highly skilled talent. The first year we held IQSD, we had competitors from Canada and the Czech Republic, plus judges from Canada, the US, and UK,” added Danika Hannon, Deputy Head of QSI and IQSD Chair.
