Terra Quantum appoints Dr. Eike Marx as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategic Officer

St. Gallen, 14 March 2023 - Terra Quantum, a leader in the development of practical quantum applications and technologies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Eike Marx as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Strategic Officer (CSO). Dr. Marx, an experienced, visionary professional, brings to Terra Quantum a rare combination of deep technical background (PhD in Physics), strategic thinking capability, and strong expertise in operations & finance with more than 20 years of relevant experience across M&A, capital raising and building technology companies making him an ideal fit for Terra Quantum’s ambitious plans to lead the second quantum revolution.
At Terra Quantum, Dr. Marx will lead the company's financial strategy, oversee financial operations to drive growth and expand the company's global footprint. His extensive expertise and network in corporate finance, capital-raising, and investment management will be of great value as Terra Quantum continues to grow and develop new products and services based on quantum technologies. Moreover, his unique interdisciplinary skillset at the intersection of finance and technology underlines Terra Quantum’s approach to leveraging quantum technologies for business advantages now.

Prior to joining Terra Quantum, Dr. Marx was most recently a Managing Director at Arma Partners, a London-based investment banking firm, where he focused on DeepTech and FrontierTech transactions. Previously, he held senior finance and strategy positions in technology companies and venture capital, as well as technology investment banking positions at Morgan Stanley and Perella Weinberg Partners. Eike holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge (Cavendish Laboratory, UK) and a Dipl.-Ing. (M.Sc. equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen (Germany) and was a Research Scholar in Mechanical Engineering at Yale University (USA).
